Newborn for a travel nursing job in Albany, New York. Job
Description & Requirements
Timekeeping - Kronos
Effective 01/11/2024, AMC will not accept applicants who reside in
the following ineligible counties: Albany, Columbia, Dutchess,
Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady,
Ulster, Warren, and Washington.
If candidate has worked as a perm employee at any of the below
facilities within the last 12 months they can't be submitted for
consideration: Albany, Glen Falls, Saratoga Hospital and Columbia
Memorial
As of 6/23/23 Albany Medical Center encourages the COVID Vaccine
Card although no longer requires it.
Modules required prior to starting. Client will email them directly
to the nurse once they're fully compliant. Modules will be unpaid.
Approximate time is 3 Hours.
Please do not submit your candidate unless they're 100% onboard
with accepting the offer if given. The client is very sensitive to
drops and we need to prevent any drops.
HealthTrust Travel nurses are required to float when requested and
as needed. There is no set frequency.
Position Details:
BLS, ACLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring
Number of Beds : 2,000 deliveries each year, predominantly high
risk population. 11 Labor Rooms plus 3 swing and 4 bed triage/3
Operating Rooms
Unit staffing description- All RN staff with unit secretary and OR
surgical techs. OB Anesthesia designated Center of Excellence.
Attending and OB resident staff.
Documentation system: EPIC
Scheduling requirements: 12 hour shifts
Floating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal
float team that assists in filling holes
Patient Experience requirements: L&D nurses required to float
to high risk antepartum unit.
Any scrub Color
Advanced skills needed: Cesarean Sections, Inductions, Bariatric
patients, other high-risk conditions
Procedures performed on unit: NSTs, Cerclage, triage, recovery
after C-section
